8th Transition Festival in Utrecht

This year’s Transition Festival, the festival showcasing the latest developments in the international jazz scene, bringing forward-thinking and inspirational artists to the stage, will take place again at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht on March 15th. The line-up for the 8th edition has just been announced and we are looking forward to reporting on this exciting event this year. Who’s playing? Dave Holland & Lionel Loueke with their latest collaborative recording, Gonzalo Rubalcaba & Hamilton de Holanda in another fascinating duo setting, Gina favorite Kiefer Trio from Los Angeles, singer extraordinaire Michael Mayo, the Marquis Hill Composers Collective, Greg Osby, ECM’s brilliant Tord Gustavsen Trio, Emma-Jean Thackray, fascinating Dutch artists Reinier Baas and Ben van Gelder with Jeff Ballard, pianist Sultan Stevenson and his Trio, Rosa Brunello Quartet feat. Yazz Ahmad, and many more.
