Omar and Incognito in Berlin
For this year’s Kunstfest Pankow, promoter Gesobau has come up with yet another great line-up again. Jazz & Soul award winner Savannah Hauskeller will perform later this afternoon. Also, top guitarist Torsten Goods will feature singer Kim Sanders. Highlights for today are UK singer Omar who released his brilliant new album “Brighter The Days” last year, and Incognito, who clearly need no introduction. Their latest album, “Music.Magic.Ironic” came out late last year and is full of classic Incognito soul/funk pieces as well as a funky remake of the Roy Ayers anthem “Running Away”.
On Sunday, you can check out more Jazz & Soul Award winners: the band Akari combines neo-soul, r&b, and jazz. Purse, three multi-instrumentalists, merge soul, jazz, rap, and r&b. Remembering Roger is a dedication to Roger Cicero. And Izo FitzRoy concludes this year’s edition. You can find all relevant info on this page.
