New Everything But The Girl LP in February
Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt, better known as Everything But The Girl, just announced the release of their forthcoming album. “Blue Reservoir” will be with us on February 19th on Buzzin’ Fly Records. It is the follow-up to their 2023 LP “Fuse”. First single off the album, the light and airy “Young And Dumb”, deals with something we’re all experiencing while getting older: thinking about the good old times when everything was much easier, crazier and where we weren’t thinking about what’s coming next. Over a smooth Bossa beat with shaker and tamborim, Tracey reminisces and asks “where did the wildness go?” and “I’d give up all the wisdom to be young and dumb again”. “I want to live before I die”. A beautiful, melancholic track urging us to “drink to the future”.
Everything But The Girl also announced a few club dates in the UK next spring, billed as Ben Watt and Tracey Thorn:
5/21 London – Union Chapel
5/22 London – Union Chapel
5/25 Bristol – St George’s
5/26 Manchester – Albert Hall
