Gina Returns

As summer is winding down, Gina prepares her move back into town after several months out in her garden. She also spent a few weeks at her home away from home in Doniaga, the Netherlands.

And how good it feels to return to live music events. I had the pleasure of seeing Brandee Younger, Azymuth, and the brilliant Durand Jones & the Indications, who performed a thrilling set last Tuesday at the sold out Hole44 in Neukölln, a great location with pretty good acoustics.

There is a lot of new music on the horizon. And a lot of great shows coming up too. Marcos Valle returns to Berlin on October. We also get the chance to see Stacey Kent, Makaya McCraven, Bill Frisell, Melody Gardot, and Samara Joy, whose latest album “Linger Awhile” comes out today. More on that later.
