North Sea Jazz Festival 2016 Announces First Artists

The first names for the 41st North Sea Jazz Festival have been announced this morning. Among the artists for Friday, July 8th, are The Roots, Snarky Puppy, Diana Krall, Antonio Sanchez and Migration, and Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah presents Stretch Music.

On Saturday, July 9th, we’ll get Steps Ahead Reunion, Level 42, Branford Marsalis featuring Kurt Elling and on Sunday, July 10th Jill Scott, Gregory Porter, John Scofield/Brad Mehldau/Mark Guiliana, and Chick Corea celebrating his 75th birthday with his Homage to Heroes (acoustic and electric).

The North Sea Jazz Festival expects over a thousand musicians this year with over 150 performances spread over 13 stages. The number of visitors will be in the 65.000 to 70.000 range again. And expect a lot more artist names in the upcoming weeks and months. The early bird tickets are on sale and the sale of regular day tickets will start on February 1st.
