Candid is originally a jazz label from New York, with the first releases issued in early 1961. Among the artists recording for the label were Charles Mingus, Abbey Lincoln, or Phil Woods. It folded the same year and three decades later, was revived by Black Lion owner Alan Bates who renamed the label to Candid…
