From Bach to Piazzolla: FAVO in Berlin on Monday

FAVOFAVO is a project that was founded in 2009 by soprano saxophonist Volker Schlott as a chamber music “group” with bass clarinetist Falk Breitkreuz. They interpret music by Astor Piazzolla, the Beatles, or Puccini and easily morph from classical to jazz and back.

For their latest endeavor, the two get together with one of the very few jazz singers from Belgium, Sander de Winne, who was the audience award winner of the 6th International Vocal Jazz Competition in Zory in Poland. The three are currently on tour to celebrate their new album and will stop in Berlin on Monday, October 26th, at Konzerthaus (W.-Otto-Saal).

There will be original compositions as well as music by Bobby McFerrin, Johann Sebastian Bach, Chick Corea, Joe Zawinul, Richie Beirach, Harold Arlen, and many more. Sounds like an interesting evening!
