Get Well Joni Mitchell
The 71-year old singer is in ICU in a Los Angeles hospital after being unconscious at her Bel Air home. Her Twitter account from this morning says this: “Joni is currently in intensive care in an LA area hospital but is awake and in good spirits. More updates to come as we hear them.”
According to TMZ, paramedics received a 911 emergency call on Tuesday afternoon. The singer-songwriter told Billboard magazine in December 2014 that she has a rare skin condition which prevents her from performing. And in a February interview with New York magazine, Joni Mitchell said that over the years she has suffered “from polio and its neurological effects, scarlet fever, the dengue virus and Morgellons disease, a rare skin condition.”
Her website says: “Light a candle and sing a song, let’s all send good wishes her way.” Which we do.
