New Release Alert: Stacey Kent

Singer extraordinaire Stacey Kent has just announced a new album, to be released worldwide on November 10th. “Summer Me, Winter Me” is supposed to be “a response to all those people who have said over the years, somewhat disappointed, “you haven’t recorded “If You Go Away”?”, and so on”, according to a statement from Stacey regarding her new set. So she has recorded the English and French version of “Ne Me Quitte Pas” for the album, as well as two originals written by her husband Jim Tomlinson together with Cliff Goldbacher, “Thinking About The Rain” and “A Song That Isn’t Finished Yet”, as well as one written by longtime collaborator Kazuo Ishiguro, “Postcard Lovers”.

First single “Under Paris Skies” will be released on September 15th, to be followed by “If You Go Away” and “Ne Me Quitte Pas” on October 6th and “Postcard Lovers” on October 27th. Stacey will be on an extensive tour in Europe in November, with stops in Zurich on November 15th and Berlin on November 17th. Full tour dates will be published here with a full review.
