Rockit Festival 5th Edition

On November 11th, Groningen will once again be the hotspot for the latest innovative mix of live jazz, soul, alternative, r&b and more artists. On six stages, this year’s one-day festival will host an eclectic, and once again highly adventurous mélange of establised and up-and-coming musicians such as Marcus Miller, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Butcher Brown, Theo Croker, Sam Gendel, Madison McFerrin, and one of the most talked about duo in contemporary music, Blue Note artists DOMi + JD Beck in collaboration with the Metropole Orkest.

The festival, which is named after Herbie Hancock’s groundbreaking song of the same name, has hosted Herbie himself in the past and also Pharoah Sanders, Chris Potter, Miles Mosley, Christian Scott, Terence Blanchard, and Thundercat.
