Anita Baker Among New Round of Artists Announced for North Sea Jazz 2019

Who knows if it’s really her Farewell Tour. Anyway, Anita Baker has just been added to the roster of this year’s North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam’s Ahoy, July 12-14. Anita will play five nights at the Venetian Theater in Las Vegas between May 31st and June 8th and she’ll also play the Capital Jazz Fest in Columbia, Maryland, on June 9th.

Many more artists have been announced since the first press release at the end of January. July 12th will feature the Ben Wendel Seasons Band, James Brandon Lewis, José James with his latest Bill Withers project accompanied by the Noordpool Orkest with arrangements by Kris Bowers and Jules Buckley, Makaya McCraven and special guests, Melissa Aldana Quartet, Nick Bärtsch’s RONIN, RYMDEN, and Tower Of Power.

Among the new adds for July 13th are Houston Person, Joey Baron, Macy Gray, and Sly5thAve. New adds for Sunday July 14th are the Chick Corea Spanish Heart Band, Dafnis Prieto Big Band, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Mayra Andrade, Stefon Harris & Blackout, and the Baylor Project. The full lineup will be announced at the end of April so stay tuned.
