Blue Note Paris FestivalI love Paris in the fall!

As you probably know, the famous Blue Note label is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year and Paris is celebrating this milestone with a six-day Festival. The participating clubs are L’Olympia, Gaité Lyrique, Tour Montparnasse, Duc Des Lombards, Sunset, and Baiser Salé.

Among the artists performing throughout the week will be Gregory Porter who starts the Festival tonight. Also coming up: the Robert Glasper Experiment, a duo concert with top pianists Glasper and Jason Moran, an All-Star Band comprising of Glasper, Lionel Loueke, Derrick Hodge, Kendrick Scott, Marcus Strickland, and Ambrose Akinmusire, a DJ night with Theo Parrish, JD Allen playing Dexter Gordon, Oran Etkin playing Eric Dolphy, and latest signing Marcus Miller.
