Toronto-based guitarist Galen Weston and his band are currently touring Europe with their acclaimed debut album “Plugged In”. In addition to his ten originals on the album, Galen with his yellow Stratocaster also plays arrangements of Keith Jarrett‘s “Country”, and the standard “Like Someone In Love” by Jimmy van Heusen.
You can hear a lot of influences on the album, from mainstream Wes Montgomery to smooth George Benson, from rocking Steve Vai to Texas guitar ace Eric Johnson.
Galen has just played Berlin’s A-Trane last night and is now off to Graz where he plays the Stockwerk. Also on the itinerary: London, Vortex, on October 6th, Café Museum in Passau on October 7th, and Porgy & Bess in Vienna on October 8th.
