Joyce Moreno European Tour
The iconic Brazilian singer-songwriter, guitarist and arranger Joyce Moreno is coming to Europe next month. The legendary artist, whose first album “Joyce” from 1968 was recently re-released, has come up with a vast number of now classic albums, like the 1980 socio-political work “Feminina”, the 2012 ode “Rio de Janeiro”, dedicated to her hometown, the beautiful duet album with pianist Kenny Werner (“Poesia”, 2015), or her tribute to the great Elis Regina, “Astronauta – Canções de Elis”, from 1998. Her discography is timeless. The 76 year old Joyce has been recording with the brilliant London-based Far Out Recordings since 1999. Her most recent album is the 2022 LP “Natureza”, a recording with guitarist and singer Mauricio Maestro, recorded in New York in 1977 with session gurus like Mike Mainieri, Michael Brecker, Buster Williams, Joe Farrell, Warren Bernhardt, and her husband Tutti Moreno. The album was arranged by Claus Ogerman and mixed by Al Schmitt. Don’t miss Joyce while she is on tour in Europe with her all-star band.
