Bossa Nova singer, pianist and composer Leila Pinheiro released her very first album in 1983. Simply called “Leila Pinheiro”, it features Ivan Lins, Joao Donato, Lincoln Olivetti, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and Toninho Horta. Leila later worked with Roberto Menescal, collected numerous awards, did shows with partner and friend Ivan Lins, and a tribute show to Jobim at New York’s Carnegie Hall.
Now, 40 years after its initial release, the good people at Mad About Records are presenting a worldwide vinyl reissue of this milestone album for the first time. It features the original artwork in a hard cardboard sleeve, an insert replica, an OBI strip and comes as a 180g limited edition vinyl.
