Lizz Wright Is Back
Lizz Wright is back with new music. She has just released a cover version of Candi Staton’s “Sweet Feeling”, which Candi recorded for her debut album “I’m Just A Prisoner” in 1970. Lizz’ version is a wonderful, bluesy treat with church-like organ and a relaxing drum beat. Her voice is a wonder, again.
The track is a first taste of her upcoming album “Shadow”, which will be released on her own Blues and Greens Records label in April, 2024. She will also get on the road for an extensive European tour which will bring her to Berlin on March 11th. Full review and tour dates to be published here later. I bet the album will also be out on vinyl.
