I think it is the perfect time now to think about June and July. That’s when one of the most popular Jazz festivals on the planet is taking place in Montreal. The Festival International De Jazz De Montreal runs from June 26th to July 5th.
And the first artists have just been announced. Also, tickets went on sale last weekend. Master bassist Stanley Clarke will be among the guests next year, as are Bebel Gilberto and Eliane Elias with her Made In Brazil project. Dee Dee Bridgewater will meet Irvin Mayfield and The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Jamie Cullum will sing at the Maison Symphonique, The Bad Plus will play together with Joshua Redman, Richard Galliano and Sylvain Luc will play Édith Piaf, and Snarky Puppy who will release a new album in April, are going to be one of the hottest festival tickets (again) next year.
The Festival next year will be the 36th edition.
