New Bill Laurance Album in April

Right after his successful tour with Michael League, playing music from their five-paw reviewed album “Where You Wish You Were”, pianist Bill Laurance announces a new album. “Bloom” will be released on April 24th on the ACT Music label and this time around, Bill is supported by The Untold Orchestra, an 18-piece string ensemble from Manchester.

Bill Laurance "Bloom"

Bill and Michael had the audience at Kammermusiksaal der Philharmonie on their feet last Friday. The rapport between the two musicians, and the wonderful, thrilling sounds of the Oud, played by Michael League, in tandem with Bill’s piano, was a joy to witness. The two had three new compositions in tow, which only added to the excitement and the overall very intense and moody atmosphere. For the most part of the evening, they played music from their afore-mentioned, still highly resonating album and ended the set with the D’Angelo piece “Spanish Joint”.

We already had the honor to listen to “Bloom”, which will be out on vinyl too, so expect a review towards the release date.
