Jarrod Lawson “Love Isn’t Always Enough”
Our Record of the Year artist Jarrod Lawson has released another single from his world-class “Be The Change” LP: “Love Isn’t Always Enough”. In my review of the album in late October, I mentioned the fact that “gracefully opulent” ballads like this aren’t made anymore. To further enhance Jarrod’s deeply moving soul balladeering, the new single comes with an additional live version, recorded with his band, now available on all digital streaming and download services.
If you need just one more proof why live music in a club, concert hall, or whatever is as essential for your well-being as a glass of water or a breath of fresh air, this is it. Let’s just hope that the projected European tour dates for late May will go ahead. Jarrod is supposed to play London’s Jazz Café on May 20th and 21st. Fingers crossed.
