Nitai Hershkovits Coming to Bonn

Israeli pianist and composer Nitai Hershkovits, who released his ECM debut LP “Call On The Old Wise” last year, will come to Beethoven-Haus in Bonn on October 10th. The album received a five-paw rating from Gina. Nitai is also a member of fellow Israeli saxophonist Oded Tzur’s quartet whose North Sea Jazz performance from 2023 was also covered here. The Beethoven-Haus, a cultural institution located in Bonn, hosts a great number of chamber concerts and piano recitals, among many other things, year-round.

The concert is one of four in the series called “Aspects: Jazz in the Chamber Music Hall” which will also have Marco Mezquida (November 21st), Taiko Saitō and Niko Meinhold (February 6th), and the Shuteen Erdenebaatar Quartet (March 12th). Nitai was a guest at Beethoven-Haus a few years ago while he was still a member of bassist Avishai Cohen’s trio. We’re happy to be able to see him in a solo setting for the first time.
