Quincy Jones 1933-2024
Everything has been said about Quincy Jones in the last couple of days. I was lucky to be able to interview him several years ago. He was a jovial, very humble, witty and outspoken interview partner, immediately called me brother, and yes, he was larger than life. So instead of telling his story here once again, I want to post a list of songs I grew up listening to, songs he produced and/or arranged, a pivotal list of songs which have been groundbreaking and still belong to the upper echelon of recorded music. In no particular order. And not complete.
