Randy Crawford Is Back On Tour In Germany

Randy CrawfordThe incomparable Randy Crawford is back on the road for seven stops in Germany this spring. The singer was last heard and seen with the late great Joe Sample who died last year. She will have a new trio backing her for her shows which start on April 28th at the Jazzfest Gronau.

Crawford, who released her first album in 1976 called “Everything Must Change”, had her big breakthrough of course with the Crusaders back in 1979 with the classic “Street Life”. Her last record (“Live”) was the third in a series of brilliant albums with Joe Sample who had accompanied her on and off through her career and came out in 2012. The album was recorded on different stages in Europe during her tour in late 2008.

Randy Crawford will perform with Leon Bisquera (p), Roberto Valy (b), and Tony Moore (dr).

May 4th: Frankfurt, Alte Oper

May 6th: Düsseldorf, Tonhalle

May 8th: Dortmund, Konzerthaus
