Saint Petersburg Goes Jazz

Saint Petersburg is not only the host city of the 2018 International Jazz Day, celebrated annually on April 30th in more than 190 countries,  but also hosts the first international jazz forum and festival in Russia. Jazz Across Borders (JAB) will be held on November 17th and 18th in the State Academic Capella.

JAB will include a conference, showcases, a club night and gala. The conference will have panels, discussions, roundtables and clinics of industry professionals with the focus on jazz artists in Russia and Russian artists abroad while the showcases not only involve artists from Russia, but also international groups and soloists. The gala concert is going to feature Kurt Elling, Igor Butman and the Moscow Jazz Orchestra. The JAB forum and festival will be held annually and will include an exhibition in 2018 as well.
