11th Jazzdor Festival in Berlin

Jazzdor 2017This year’s French/German Jazz Festival Jazzdor Strasbourg-Berlin will take place at Berlin’s Kesselhaus from May 30th to June 2nd. Once again, there will be a lot of French/German collaborations and a lot to explore. Part of the extravaganza is a record release concert for the ACT outfit Out Of Land, consisting of Michael Wollny (piano), Andreas Schaerer (vocals), Émile Parisien (sax), and Vincent Peirani (accordion).

Also on the menu, a voice/drums duo by Sophia Domancich and Simon Goubert. Louis Sclavis will play his German premiere of “Loin Dan Les Terres” with his Ensemble, Klima Kalima with Finnish guitarist Kalle Kalima, invites French trombonist Yves Robert and German bassist Oliver Potratz and drummer Oliver Steidle.

Gebhard Ullmann is presenting his BassX3 Trio with bassists Hélène Labarrière and Chris Dahlgren, Marc Ducret celebrates the German premiere of his Métatonal project and another special collaboration is Quatuor IXI + Melanoia which features the French string quartet and drummer Dejan Terzic‘s quartet including Achim Kaufmann on piano.
