Berlinale Competition 2016 Almost Complete

Berlinale 2016Six films for this year’s Competition have been announced last month and now here come nine more. Celebrating their world premiere in Berlin will be Ivo M. Ferreira‘s “Cartas Da Guerra” (Portugal), the Italian-French documentary “Fuocoammare” by Gianfranco Rosi, “Hele Sa Hiwagang Hapis”, a Philippine/Singapore production by Lav Diaz, the French-German “L’avenir” by Mia Hansen-Love featuring Isabelle Huppert, a new André Téchiné film, “Quand On A 17 Ans”, “Mort à Sarajevo” by Danis Tanovic, a production from Bosnia-Herzegovina and France, and the Polish-Swedish “Zjednoczone Stany Milosci” by Tomasz Wasilewski.

And there are two movies with international premieres in Berlin: “Ejhdeha Vared Mishavad!” by Iranian film maker Mani Haghighi and “Kollektivet”, a Swedish-Dutch-Danish co-production directed by Thomas Vinterberg. The remaining films for Berlin International Filmfest’s Competition will be announced in the next few days. The 66th Berlinale will run from February 11th to 21st.
