Jordan Rakei Announces New Album and Tour

London based, New Zealand born singer, songwriter, musician and producer Jordan Rakei has announced his next album. “The Loop” will be his first album for major label Decca Records/Universal and will be released on May 10th and is the follow-up to his wonderful “What We Call Life” LP from 2021. There will be a double vinyl version with the 13 tracks spread over two LPs. After his first single “Flowers”, released in late October, Jordan has come up with his second single off the album today: “Freedom” once again features his signature soulful vocals and a brilliant hook line. His unwavering optimism and his vociferous plea for freedom comes at just about the right time. Tour dates for Europe have just been announced. I still remember his last show at Berlin’s Festsaal in Kreuzberg in April 2022 which was simply brilliant. His 2017 LP “Wallflower” garnered a five-paw review on these pages and his compilation in the “LateNightTales” series in 2021 also had us raving.
