Radic The Myth – “Back To You” EP

Njabulo Ndhlovu aka Radic The Myth from Johannesburg releases a three-track EP on Freerange Records this Friday. Over the last several years, he has released tracks as a producer and/or remixer on various labels such as Stay True Sounds or Garden Groove Music. The three new pieces on the London based Deep House label Freerange Records have all caught us by surprise for their deep and really eclectic sounds. All three of them have this potential of becoming intoxicating house anthems in the future.

Radic The Myth

“Back To You” is full of warm synth pads and evolves into this highly infectious, repetitive groove. The breaks in between only add to the excitement once the groove steps back in. This is on constant repeat over here. And it gets even better than that. Check out “Phone Calls”, a song that’s been out since late December and was part of one of Gina’s weekly playlists, has some mythical spoken words in the back. In the front, you get a wonderfully meandering synth and bass line which takes you to other spheres. This is genuinely infectious house royalty. And once again, Radic The Myth perfectly weaves in the right dose of repetitiveness that’s needed to keep the song in the loop and never fails to excite. And finally, “Summer Solstice”, featuring Freerange label head Jimpster, draws you in again this time with a highly percussion-infused groove and some really fresh and jazzy ingredients. Look out for this three-tracker this Friday. And you can also buy this brilliant EP by clicking on this link.
