The third Soulfood Festival Bremerhaven will bring some of the big stars of the 80s soul scene to town: On November 7th, Bremerhaven’s Stadthalle will host the SOS Band and James “D-Train” Williams as the two headlining acts.
“On The Rise”, the 1983 album by The S.O.S. Band which included their hits “Just Be Good To Me” and “Tell Me If You Still Care”
The SOS Band had several hits in the 80s like “Take Your Time (Do It Right)”, High Hopes”, “Just Be Good To Me”, “Tell Me If You Still Care”, “Just The Way You Like It”, or “The Finest”. Right now, they are working on their first album in over 20 years. Last year, they released “Just Get Ready” as an appetizer for the album. The track sounds like it is based on their old songs.
James “D-Train” Williams rose to fame in the early 80s with his hits “You’re The One For Me” and “Keep On”, both released under the name D-Train. He later wrote songs for Patti Austin, George Duke, and Carl Anderson. His “Miracle Of The Heart” and “In Your Eyes” albums were recently re-released and his new one “The Other Side Of The Tracks” is just around the corner.
