Talking About Herbie Hancock

Since Herbie Hancock is among my alltime favorite artists, I would like to share this info about an upcoming talk about one of the most influential artists of our time. On November 24th, New York’s Jazz Standard and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center present a virtual conversation about Herbie. Two members of his touring band, guitarist Lionel Loueke and bassist James Genus will join producer Seth Abramson, artistic director of the Jazz Standard, to discuss what it’s like to play with such a master.

Loueke Genus Hancock Talk

Lionel Loueke just recently released his own unique Herbie Hancock praise in the form of his new LP HH. The live talk will be broadcast on November 24th from 7.30-8.30 pm EST and you can tune in via the Jazz Standard Facebook page.
