Thanksgiving With Chaka Khan
As with most of this year’s festivities and events, Thanksgiving will be completely different. In the US, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention urged Americans to avoid holiday travel altogether. There have been lots of streamed concerts and showcases and talks and the like which surely isn’t the same as actually attending a concert, but in these dire times, it is better than having nothing at all. Artists should be applauded for giving us a chance to witness at least a snippet of what they’re about creatively.
And so, Chaka Khan will start Chaka Khan TV this Thanksgiving, November 26th, with a streaming-on-demand service for USD 12.95 (7pm EST) and the show will then be available to watch for the next 48 hours. Here’s what Chaka says about the idea: “I want to share my inspiration, my passion, the muse that keeps the heart beating. From my house to your house, I want to share a side of me that’s never been seen before. In your living room, this Thanksgiving, I’m going to take you on a journey. I’m going to talk to you about all the songs from this selection, and give you some history about these tunes and how they came to be… And of course, I’ll be singing some of your favorite songs too!”
