Vincent Peirani meets Anat Cohen and Michael Mayo

Brilliant award-winning accordionist Vincent Peirani has proven since his debut in 2010 that he is equally at home in the jazz, folk, classical, and beyond worlds. We’ve been lucky to have witnessed his virtuosity in various line-ups over the years, most notably with saxophonist Émile Parisien. Vincent is touring with his various projects, like his “Jokers” album which came out on the German ACT music label in 2022. He has released about a dozen abums for the label, including last year’s fantastic “Les Égarés” which features Vincent Segal on cello, Ballaké Sissoko on kora, and Parisien. He is also touring with this band in addition to his work with the Gwilym Simcock Trio and his Bach Project with François Salque. He is also bringing his Tango-influenced “Abrazo” duo work with Parisien to Neu-Brandenburg on March 16th.

But I think the most exciting evening will be on March 13th during the Seine Musicale weeks in France. Vincent’s carte blanche evening will feature Anat Cohen on clarinet and Michael Mayo on vocals plus Émile Parisien on soprano sax, Tony Paeleman on Rhodes, Julien Herné on bass, and Yoann Serra on drums, the musicians who played on his 2015 album “Living Being“. The concert will take place in Boulogne-Billancourt as part of La Seine Musicale.
