Back in Berlin

GinaWe’re back from our annual Xmas holiday and enjoying the sunny weather here in Berlin where the city is preparing for its grand 2015 finale. Over a million visitors are expected to join the major festivities at the Brandenburg Gate on New Year’s eve. Gina will make sure not to even come close to the party, though. I still think that fireworks should be banned in the city except for maybe one big central party.

But anyway, a lot of exciting things ahead for us in 2016 and the new releases for January and February and beyond are piling up. I look forward to start some new, thrilling endeavors and you will read all about it right here on these pages. We’ve managed to double the number of our unique monthly visitors during the past six months so I’d like to thank you for visiting our pages and returning regularly.

In the meantime, news were spread that next year’s Elbjazz Festival will not take place in 2016 due to financial problems and some re-structuring. And the next edition in 2017 is likely to include the new Elbphilharmonie as well – if they manage to finally finish work on this gigantic project. Also, Janet Jackson had to postpone several of her European dates in the spring due to an important surgery her doctors convinced her to undergo. It means that her Berlin performance on April 18th, for example, is not going to happen. New dates will be announced soon.
