Michel Legrand On Tour

I had a lunch meeting yesterday with a good friend and colleague and we were talking music, of course. When we talked about the upcoming fall concert season, I mentioned to him that Michel Legrand would come to town. Since he wasn’t aware of that concert highlight, I thought I publish Michel’s tour dates here and it seems that the Berlin date is the only one in Germany for the 83-year old legendary composer.

Needless to say, he has worked with just about everybody in the business like Miles Davis, Quincy Jones, Barbra Streisand, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Andy Williams, Lena Horne, Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross, Frank Sinatra, Neil Diamond, Liza Minelli, Johnny Mathis, Perry Como, Nana Mouskouri, Kiri Te Kanawa, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Oscar Peterson, Alison Moyet, Stephane Grappelli, Phil Woods, Sting, George Benson, etc. His last Christmas record (2011) has become an important part of each season and in 2013, he recorded an album of his songs with singer Natalie Dessay (“Entre Elle et Lui”).
