North Sea Jazz 2023: First Names Announced

This year’s North Sea Jazz Festival, scheduled for the weekend of July 7th-9th, has announced the first round of artists coming over to Rotterdam. Among the acts of the first day, July 7th, are the Kenny Barron Quartet, Bill Frisell FOUR with Gerald Clayton, Jonathan Blake and Greg Tardy, Terri Lyne Carrington with her New Standards project, Kurt Elling with Charlie Hunter and the Huntertones Horns, and Mavis Staples. On stage on Saturday, July 8th, among others: Fred Hersch with Drew Gress and Joey Baron, Marcus Miller, Jill Scott, Kenny Garrett Quintet, and the Lucas Santtana 5tet. And scheduled for Sunday, July 9th: Branford Marsalis Quartet, Benny Sings, Kandace Springs, Pat Metheny Side-Eye, Samara Joy, and Cymande.
